The Diamond Harbour Women’s University organises various socio-cultural events throughout the year. Some of them are held regularly every year, while the others are meant to commemorate or celebrate certain occasions.

University Events held on a Regular Basis

  • Orientation Programme for the First Year Students in the Postgraduate Course
  • International Women’s Day
  • International Mother Language Day
  • Vanamahotsava – The Afforestation Ceremony
  • Observation of the Independence Day
  • Observation of the Republic Day

Special Events

  • Week-Long Commemoration Programme of Swami Vivekananda’s Historical Chicago Address, 1893.
  • Enactment of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein by the students to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the text. The screenplay was also composed by them in adaptation of the original novel.
  • International Yoga Day, 2018.
  • International Yoga Day, 2017.
  • Constitution Day.
  • Azaadi 70 – Commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of India’s Independence.
